Installing
- Tap Download for Android above.
- Open the downloaded file. Android will ask permission to install from this source — allow it once.
- Sign in with your mobile number and the temporary password your administrator gave you. You’ll choose your own password straight away.
No account yet? Ask your administrator to add you — accounts can only be created from inside the app.
Two things to set up
- Allow notifications when the app asks, or you won’t know when someone messages you.
- Turn off battery restrictions. In Android Settings → Apps → Staff Chat → Battery, choose Unrestricted. On Xiaomi, Oppo, Vivo, Realme and Samsung phones the system otherwise kills the app after a few hours and messages stop arriving.
Good to know
- The “Connected” notification is meant to be there — it’s what keeps messages arriving when the app isn’t open. Hiding it also stops the messages.
- Don’t swipe the app out of Recents. Messages stop until you reopen it.
- Hold the microphone button to record a voice message; release to send.
- Voice and video calls work on WiFi and mobile data.
